Greentrees Village has undertaken an extensive project to replace the saddles (metal collars that connect the home lines to the main water lines), install a new shutoff valve and a gauge to measure water usage. No, there is no intention to bill residents for water.

This project is currently underway. The map for the project is below. The east side has been completed, as have several homes on the west side.

The current estimated schedule is:

Phase 1 - Oct. 2024 (Completed Dec 2024)

Phase 2 - Feb 2025 (Complete except paving roads)

Phase 3 - Jan/Feb 2026

Water Works Procedure

1. Maintenance goes through and locates each lateral water line and main line as best as they can.

2. Monday-Wednesday the contractor digs where we have located to expose the lateral and main line. One side of the street will have the mainline right in front of their property the other side will have to be cut all the way across the street.

3. Thursday once everything is dug up properly the plumber will come in and replace the necessary parts. This is the time that you will be without water.

4. Friday morning the plumbers work will be inspected. Late Friday morning the contractor will come back and fill the holes in and compact.

5. Typically they get 7 lots per week done, sometimes less sometimes more. If the contractor is going to dig up your complete driveway they will let you know so you can move your car first. The clubhouse and rec hall area can be used for parking if you have nowhere else to park.

6. Anywhere that gets dug up and cut up will be replaced at no cost to the resident directly. ​

7. Sometimes, the replacement is a temporary replacement and they will come back at a later date to put in new concrete. Unfortunately, the construction company does not always give us notice and will be here without us being able to notify residents. We are working on trying to get more notice from them.​​
