Title: Maintenance Staff
Greentrees Village Association of Home Owners is hiring a Full Time Maintenance 1 Worker to join the support staff for our 55 and older community. The ideal candidate will have general handyman skills, the know-how to tackle light equipment, electrical, and plumbing repairs, be able to maintain plants, hedges, and rock gardens, will possess a valid Oregon state driver’s license, and will enjoy working as part of a team to maintain the buildings, pools, and grounds of our 550+ home community. Hourly rate starting at $17.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:

Participate in daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor including, but not limited to the following:

Perform routine maintenance of pools, spa, and sauna.

Assist in road, security gate, RV park, and general equipment maintenance.

Assist in landscaping maintenance for all outside community common areas, including rock gardens, plants, hedges, trees, shrubs and the associated plumbing and sprinkling systems.

Perform light electrical repairs, such as light fixtures, electrical outlets, and switches.

Perform light plumbing repairs, such as water valves, pipes, and hoses.

Perform light construction, maintenance, and repair of doors, sheds, or buildings.

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workshop and work area.

Make visual checks throughout the community to identify problems and recommend corrective action in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Cultivate good working relationships with supervisors, employees, the HOA Board of Directors, and the homeowners.
Skills:
-
Basic knowledge of, and ability to operate, maintenance equipment, such as tractors, power tools, and hand tools.

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry and ability to perform basic repairs and installations.

Basic knowledge of horticulture and ability to plant, trim, and maintain plants, shrubs and trees.

Basic knowledge of and ability to perform pool, spa, and sauna maintenance.

Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions and take appropriate actions.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to work as a team member.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, for extended periods of time
Experience:

Any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.
Benefits:
Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA): All eligible employees can be reimbursed for medical-related expenses up to a $1000.00 annual limit.
Personal Time Off: Year one equals one week; years two and three, two weeks; years four through nine, three weeks.
Eight paid holidays plus one additional personal day.
Facility Use: Every employee and their immediate family eligible have use of the facilities which includes an outdoor pool, tennis court, pickle ball, recreation center, ping pong, pool tables and exercise room.
